The historic original Simon Kenton house structure has been entirely renewed and refurbished with modern facilities for overnight stays, but it's been done with the authenticity and atmosphere of 1828. Much more than a Bed & Breakfast, the new Simon Kenton Inn is a guest house inn featuring a wide variety of accommodations. The original 19th century house is filled with antiques and collectibles, a stocked library, and large parlor and gathering rooms. Choose from four upstairs guest rooms, all with private modern baths. Alternatively, the Caretaker Cottage features three bedrooms with a full kitchen and sitting area, ideal for extended families. The brand new luxury suites on the hill are being completed right now. Available summer 2009. The newly opened pub and restaurant serves hearty and healthy fare evenings, Wednesday through Saturday, plus a brunch buffet Sundays. The pub has a full liquor license: cocktails, four beers on tap plus imported and domestic beers by the bottle. You won't find a better stocked (and affordable!) wine cellar in the region.
