Meet the Proprietor:

Theresa Siejack (SEE-jak)
While much has changed surrounding the old Kenton-Hunt Homestead since Virginia Hunt penned the small book "What Went On Around Here," very few changes were made to the original structure or detail of the house. [We've reprinted her 1958 booklet about her family's history here on this land.]
In 2005, the property was purchased by Theresa Siejack. She had a vision and felt love-at-first-sight for this historical property and it's beautiful land.
Although no additions were made to the outside or structure of the house, the entire infrastructure was rebuilt including new plumbing (five bathrooms), new electric, new windows, plaster and paint, and all the original ash wood floors refinished. Theresa and various contractors worked 7 days a week for 5 months to restore this grand home.
"In September of 2005 we opened the famous property as the Simon Kenton Inn, says Theresa.
"We believe that Simon and Virginia would be pleased. And, we sincerely hope that we've preserved a piece of American History to be enjoyed and admired for many generations to come."
Bio:
This is Theresa's fourth inn that she's developed. She's a national award winning B&B hostess whose past bed & breakfasts are all ongoing businesses.
Theresa is a Registered Nurse, Air Force Reserve Officer, entrepreneur, former mayor, and important for inn guests, a Culinary Institute of America educated gourmet cook. Theresa well knows the finer things in life and treats her guests accordingly. Recently she won an award in a world-wide contest within the US military for her "World's Best Healthy Cookie" recipe. Ask her for the recipe. Born in Maryland, she's spent most of her adult life in Ohio, but still enjoys visiting the Chesapeake Bay to bring back its treasure, the Blue Crab for special meals she prepares.
